What are the career advantages to pursue an executive MBA for a structural engineer ?
Which program of an executive MBA helps most for structural firms ??

There are no career advantages to pursue an executive MBA for a structural engineer as both are not inter-related to each other in the type of work they do. MBA is all about marketing, financing and HRA which has no relation to the type of work a structural engineer does. Only structural engineers who are not interested in structural engineering opt for MBA as non-engineering firms like manufacturing firms offer them jobs with high salaries initially, and their continuation of employment in the firm depends on the contribution they make for increased sales.

亲爱的Er。Sri Prabhakarji ,
I agree with you, Er. Prabhakarji . I have spent 35 years in this Profession of Structural Engineering . For 35 years in USA , leaving home at 8.0 a.m. and working at least till 5:30 p.m. in evening and all I did on a project ( say a 58 story High Rise Building Project ) :
1)What the actual Deflection at top floor? Should be < Allowable in Code.
2)Foundation Settlements: Total and Differential ? Should be < Allowable in Code.
3)Member Sizes , Columns , Beams , Shear Walls :Value Engineering ( Cost Analysis Department ) did cost analysis from my final Structural Drawings and they told me , my final design will put cost of project 30 % over estimated budget .So fine tune your design. Simply put REDESIGN the whole thing .I was about to cry.
4)Field Problems with my GFC Structural Drawings :We can not construct this High Rise Building with Vasudeo's Drawings . Details are not good. So construction company is asking forCHANGE ORDERSand charging clientExtra Money.Then Client pick up phone, calls me and start yelling at me .

All I can say " GOOD LUCK /New, aspiring Structural Engineers . Hope you guy's have better luck than me . Remember I did this 35 years everyday .

Thank You Sir...but do Consulting and construction firms not have to handle big clients, companies, sub contractors, governments where in a manager with both structural and HRD acumen would read behind the lines ??

目前,HRD manager是一个荣耀的previously known as simple Administrative Manager. Structural Engineering is a serious profession and one has to be a clever person to be in it. A senior Structural Engineer who holds a managerial person in a firm is more clever than a HRD manager, and can read between the lines also for which a MBA qualification is not required.
